Ordinance 92-06 | An Ordinance Establishing the Use Limits of the Public Docks at McKinley Park Campground in the Township of Breitung
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE USE LIMITS OF THE PUBLIC DOCKS AT MCKINELY PARK CAMPGROUND IN THE TOWNSHIP OF BREITUNG.
Section 1: Mooring and Docking of Watercraft
Subdivision 1: Launching and Loading
The right portable dock shall be fore boat launching, loading and temporary parking of boats for no more than two hours.
Subdivision 2: Parking of Watercraft
The left side portable and the permanent dock shall be reserved for mooring of campers’ watercraft only.
Subdivision 3: Size Limitations
No watercraft of more than twenty (20) feet shall be moored at any dock except in an emergency.
Subdivision 4: Beaching of Watercraft
Watercraft shall be prohibited from beaching in the designated swimming area.
Section 2: Other Restrictions
Subdivision 1: Fuel Deliveries
It shall be unlawful for any supplier or purveyor of petroleum products to deliver or transfer combustible fuel to any watercraft docked at any public doc in the Township of Breitung.
Subdivision 2: Lifting of Docks
The portable docks shall be lifted no later than when the marker buoys are lifted on Lake Vermilion.
Subdivision 3: Penalties
Any violation of this ordinance can result in a misdemeanor charge with a maximum fine of $700.00 and/or 90 days in jail according to M.S. 609.03.
